CITY OF VINCENT LOCAL HISTORY AWARDS
Born, raised and living in Perth’s oldest inner city suburbs, I understand how vibrant and interesting city living can be. Old parts of our inner city community have a rich past and I’ve always been fascinated by our architectural heritage.
Being a local history buff myself, I jumped at the opportunity to partner with the City Of Vincent to sponsor the annual Local History Awards.
The Awards encourage and reward community participation in recording and sharing the history of the City of Vincent.
We invite written and photographic submissions on subjects such as:
✔️ People or groups in Vincent
✔️ Places in Vincent
✔️ Events documenting historic or contemporary events in the Vincent area
ALEXANDER PARK TENNIS CLUB – MENS STATE LEAGUE TEAM
Affectionately known by locals as “The Park”, this great tennis club located on Clyde Rd, Menora is an inner city gem. With a rich history dating back to1932, it has been at the forefront of WA tennis for many years. After a 25 year hiatus, APTC returned to the prestigious State League competition in 2018/2019 backed by a group of highly enthusiastic and dedicated club members and sponsors. Finishing in the top four for the 2019/20 season and a shot at a finals berth, the Covid19 pandemic meant an early finish to the season with no finals played.
With several big name players signed on for the 2020/21 season, APTC will be stamping its claim as the number 1 team in W.A.
It is a pleasure to be part of this great club which single-handedly is contributing to the rebirth of State League tennis by raising the bar in sportsmanship , professionalism and club involvement.
